This was the last Erich Segal book I have and I had determined to finish it at any cost before going for any other author. The beginning of the story is a bit slow that i have to force myself multiple time too continue reading hoping that it will have a great end. My patience pays me off...towards the middle the plot started to build up and later i know that i don’t want to stop reading it. The story is about Faith, religion, love and friendship. You will learn a lot about Jewish culture and of course the Bible. It's an interesting tale when it comes to talking about two diverse cultures. The saga is told from the point of view of two Jewish siblings and a Catholic boy growing up in New York. Segal takes the reader from Brooklyn to Israel, Rome, and Brazil in this epic. The characters were struggling to understand their own heritage and what part of it was choice and what part a required privilege. It was extremely interesting and the characters and locations were well drawn. Its about three characters Deborah, Daniel and Timothy. It’s a love story between rabbi's daughter(Deborah), and the Irish catholic boy (Timothy). It captivated me to say the least and you do learn about the tradition of various religions in a way which doesn’t make you feel bored.
