Ipod prices slashed...

160GB iPod Classic is now $249

Video/camera on nano:

•H.264 VGA video, 640 by 480 pixels, up to 30 frames per second with AAC audio

New iPod Shuffles:  Its $59 for 2GB, $79 for 4GB and $99 for a special 4GB (stainless steel) version and comes in New colors, five colors, silver, pink, green, blue and "stainless steel"

iPhone OS 3.1 is released today: New Genius technology automatically makes plalylists from songs in your library that go great together, applies to apps too (app reccomendations).   Obviously there is more stuff that was not announced here

iTunes 9 was announced: Genius Mixes (using iMixes to teach the Genius feature), improved syncing options:genre, artist options, albums, faces/photos, events, arrange your iPhone apps in iTunes, iTunes LP which bundles loads of exclusive Artist content with album purchases (lyrics, liner knows, videos, and more)

I must say I don’t see a bright future for any other competitor. I just don’t see the market need for a “portable HD” device.
